Attend a Spooktakular Party with a Purpose
Our Special Guests
Congresswoman Betty Sutton (D-Ohio)
Advocate and actress Emily Deschanel
Dear Carole,
You're invited! On Sunday, October 28, 2007, you can join animal advocates from all across the United States to help the Humane Society Legislative Fund work to eradicate dogfighting in the United States and pass other laws to protect animals from cruelty.
Party Animals is a fun and unique way to support the Humane Society Legislative Fund, while also giving you a chance to hear what each of us can do to have an impact on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures across the country.
Attend a house party in your area: Party Animals from coast to coast are hosting house parties and inviting animal advocates like you to join in. House parties are a great way to meet up with other people who care about protecting animals as much as you do. Click here to R.S.V.P. to a Party Animals house party.
Sign up to host a house party on October 28: It's not too late to host your own Party Animals event. Set up your own party web page, send invitations and collect secure online donations all in one place. Click here to host your own Party Animals house party.
All parties will be linked together on a nationwide conference call at 7:30 p.m. EST. I will be joined on the call by one of the leaders for animal protection in Congress -- Congresswoman Betty Sutton from Ohio's 13th district, the lead sponsor of the Dog Fighting Prohibition Act (H.R. 3219) -- and one of the leading animal advocates in the entertainment industry -- "Bones" star Emily Deschanel.
I hope you'll attend or host a Haunted House/Spooky Senate house party on October 28 and help raise awareness and support for the Humane Society Legislative Fund's education and lobbying efforts to end dogfighting in the United States.
Sincerely,
Mike Markarian
